Veneers are a quick and highly effective way to achieve a stunning smile. They are fitted to the front of a tooth to cover an irregular shape, mask discolouration or conceal small gaps. They can also be used to protect a tooth from further damage.
Book a consultationVeneers offer a minimally invasive way to enhance your smile, as only a thin layer of enamel needs to be removed prior to fitting, if any. Modern materials mean they are thinner and stronger than ever before, and in some cases your natural tooth doesn’t have to be treated at all. Veneers are a fast treatment, needing only a couple of appointments to transform your smile, compared to months needed with orthodontic treatment or implants.
Book a consultationVeneers are highly aesthetic, able to provide a complete transformation to your smile and improving colour, shape and appearance.
Veneers are strong and durable, functioning just like natural teeth.
The treatment is pain-free and the veneers themselves are custom made for an accurate and comfortable fit.
Veneers can be used for a variety of reasons, including covering damage, masking discolouration and providing an enhanced appearance.
At your first appointment, we check your teeth and gums are healthy and suitable for treatment. We take the time to discuss the treatment in detail, taking you through each step.
We take digital images and impressions, which are used to create your bespoke veneers. We ensure we understand the final look you are hoping to achieve and the desired shade for your veneers. We also carry out any preparation needed to your tooth enamel.
When your custom veneers are ready, we invite you back into the practice for your fitting appointment. We remove any temporary veneers that have been protecting your teeth and make sure you are happy with the look of the new ones. We then fit them into place using strong dental adhesive and leave you to enjoy your new smile!
The most effective way to look after your veneers is to keep up with a regular brushing and flossing routine. It is also important to visit your dentist for regular check ups, so they can keep an eye on your veneers and overall dental health.
Veneers are resilient and durable, but they still do have the potential to break, so it is important to treat them with care. Try not to use your teeth to open anything, tempting as it may be! We also advise you not to bite your fingernails or chew pen tops, as this can cause damage.
If your veneer breaks or becomes chipped or cracked, please call us as soon as possible. We may be able to reattach the veneer or fix small areas of damage in a single appointment, or provide advice on your best next steps.
Yes, you should treat your veneers just like your natural teeth, brushing and using interdental tools as normal. Your veneers can’t decay, but the tooth underneath can, so it is important this is kept healthy and strong.
